Purchasing Manager - Hanoi - EMS Factory Experience Required

Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Vietnam
Salary: Up to 50,000 HKD

Position Overview:
The Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement processes and manage supply chain operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. This role requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and expertise in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support company goals and objectives.
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve any issues.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct supplier evaluations to identify new sourcing opportunities and improve quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
