The Quantitative Cost/Schedule Risk Assessment (QCRA/QSRA) Manager will be responsible for the professional application of the QCRA/QSRA framework across a portfolio of projects, by all Delivery Teams. The risk function resides at programme level but will require the QCRA/QSRA Manager to work with the various Delivery Teams as a ‘partner’, supporting the project team’s QCRA/QSRA activities.

To execute the scope of responsibility, the QCRA/QSRA Manager will be required to implement the framework and support the project teams in conducting the QCRA/QSRA, including the pre-planning activities, the Monte Carlo simulation facilitation, and post-simulation write-ups. The role will require a close working relationships with each of the project teams and cost and schedule functional teams.

You’ll be responsible for:
Support the Risk & Opportunities Lead in the implementation on the Risk Management framework with regards to the quantitative risk assessment (QRA).

Manage an effective QRA monitoring and reporting system at the Department level. Produce internal reports, prepare record of meetings, build process maps and power point slides/dashboard reports.

Review and propose updates to the program’s risk management policy and procedures.

Review the existing and, if required, perform the market analysis and selection of the QRA software for both Schedule and Cost QRA and manage their implementation.

Laise with the Planning/Scheduling and Commercial functions to align the frameworks to enable the QRA and incorporate the results of it in the respective functional deliverables.

Establish the QRA calendar across the programme and perform/support the QCRA/QSRA on programme/projects and produce interpretive output reports.

Perform cost QRA on project risk registers and produce interpretive output reports. Support schedule QRA on project programmes, ensuring relevant risks and their impact on specific project activities are documented.

Monitor and review Cost & Schedule QRA results for each project, documenting trends and themes, highlighting an areas of concern or requirements for management intervention. Ensure that the outputs of the QRA are included in the respective functional reports to account for the QRA results.

Working with other team members and Client teams to transfer the practical knowledge relating to QRA activities and processes.

You’ll also have:
10 Years of Professional Experience, minimum 8 years in non-financial risk management;

Industry: Construction Sector in Civil Engineering, Rail, Utilities, Infrastructure or Consultant in Risk Management;

Risk Management Information Systems (e.g. Risk Hive, ARM, Predict!, Metric Stream or in-house database systems);

Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) using -Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis (Monte Carlo Simulation or similar);

Microsoft excel (advanced), charts, graphs, data analytics;

Good written English for professional reports and clear spoken English;

Confident and social, not afraid to ‘speak up’ and able to maintain professional relationships.

BS degree in a Risk Management, engineering or relevant business discipline .

Professional risk management registration preferred (MIRM – Member of the Institute of Risk Management).
