Project Title: Parent and Community Engagement in Supporting Academic and Non-academic
Learning Beyond the Classroom among Underprivileged Young Learners

[Appointment Period: 12 - 14 months]

The appointee will work on a research project related to Hong Kong students’ learning experience in
supplementary tutoring. He/she will be required to conduct literature review, invite and liaise with
participants, conduct interviews, transcribe and analyse data and perform other duties assigned by the
project investigators. The appointment will be for a period of around 14 months, expect to commence
in November 2024 up to 31 December 2025.


Applicants should preferably have a Master’s Degree in Education or a related field. They should
possess the competence to conduct data collection and analysis independently. They should have high
proficiency in spoken Cantonese and English, excellent communication skills, and good written
English. Preference will be given to those who are familiar with qualitative research methods and the
use of NVivo. Knowledge in education-related areas and experience of research paper publication
will be an advantage.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end
