Senior Information Officer / Information Officer (User Services)

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader of User Services, the appointee will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support for PC installation and replacement, PC cloning for staff, student, and computer laboratories
- Providing technical support for desktop client model management, MS Windows policy, and endpoint configuration system management and software license management, as well as maintaining the inventories of hardware and software
- Providing on-site support for the hardware/software installation and maintaining computing, audiovisual, and printing systems in all teaching venues and computer laboratories
- Providing on-site support for events in campus/remote centre classrooms
- Providing technical support to the service desk operations, including handling user inquiries via hotline, email and helpdesk system
- Conducting system maintenance, security patching and performing diagnosis and troubleshooting of Windows client and server software
- Stationing in remote learning centres to provide technical support according to the schedules
- Working shifts and irregular hours might be required
- Performing any other duties as requested by supervisor(s)
- A Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- At least 2-3 years’ relevant experience in IT Service Desk or Windows Client Server Management
- Hands-on experience in operational and technical support of MS Windows, Active Directory, Windows Endpoint Configuration Manager and MS O365
- Sound knowledge in server and client software installation, PC client model management, Windows and Linux operating system
- Knowledge and experience in AV equipment setup and troubleshooting will be an added advantage
- Good customer service skill and service attitude
- A good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
