Project

Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission (SALSA) Scheme

Duties

Act as the coordinator of the SALSA Scheme;

Oversee the implementation of the SALSA Scheme and admission/recruitment of student-athletes;

Handle administrative works related to SALSA Scheme;

Maintain close contact with the different stakeholders to ensure the smooth operations of the SALSA Scheme;

Provide advice, support and training to elite student-athletes;

Supervise or liaise with part-time tutors/student mentors;

Coordinate different events for the PE Section (including student-athlete welcoming ceremony and orientation activities for new student-athletes);

Liaise with academic departments to provide necessary support to elite student-athletes; and

Perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee will be required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree plus postgraduate qualification in Physical Education or Sports related disciplines;

At least 10 years’ working experience in managerial level;

Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

Working knowledge of computer applications; and

Matured personality with ability to work with young people and academic staff.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
