Senior Officer, Insurance

- Handle daily insurance operations, including communication with insurers, handling claims, and addressing customers' enquiries and complaints
- Assist in the risk management by assessing the operational risks of HKIA Passenger Services (China) Limited (HKIAPSCL), preparing the Risk Register, and updating preventive and responsive procedures with action plans to ensure control effectiveness
- Assist in the insurer partnership management including but not limited to product coverage reviews, conduct market research of insurance products, and agency agreement evaluations
- Analyze insurance related data and statistics, including policies, claims information, premium figures, etc. and prepare management reports
- Handle administrative issues of HKIAPSCL, including retaining business and financial record and preparing premium reconciliation reports, co-ordination with insurers and internal departments
- Coordinate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for licensed staff of HKIAPSCL, including course arrangements, monitoring and record keeping, and reporting to Insurance Authority (IA).
- Ensure timely submission of licensing-related forms to the IA, including the change of information of licensee, appointment or termination of licensed Technical Representative (TR), change in appointment by insurer, etc.
- Assist in all the Insurance Ordinance compliance related matters
- Perform ad-hoc assignment as required
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Insurance, Business Administration or related disciplines
- Holder of either ACII/ FCII/ ANZIIF (Senior Associate)/ ANZIIF (Fellow) or passed relevant IIQE Papers (for General Business)
- Minimum 3 years of insurance experience in sizable organizations, reputable insurance companies, or international insurance brokerage firms. Good knowledge of various classes of general insurance, especially motor insurance for cross border/ using Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge
- Experience in insurance brokering, underwriting, claims handling or customer service experience within insurance agencies
- Familiar with the insurance agency related laws, rules and regulations
- Exposure in customer service related to motor liability insurance and dealing with regulators on insurance agency matters is an advantage
- Good knowledge of general insurance, especially motor insurance for cross border/ using Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a plus
- Proactive, independent, good interpersonal skill, attentive to details, flexible to business change, recognize importance of providing high quality services and deliverables Proficient in MS Office applications; excellent spoken and written in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua
