Senior Research Officer/Research Officer
Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies

Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) of Lingnan University is inviting applications for the position of senior research officer/ research officer to implement a research project on compound caregivers and support academic publications and grant submissions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct a systematic literature review and produce a report on the practices of central depository in 10 regions
  • Analyse and report interview data
  • Recruit, monitor and support interviewers to complete interviews and prepare interview transcripts
  • Organise a research dissemination event
  • Support the implementation of research and community projects of the institute occassionlly

Requirements
  • A master’s degree in social sciences is necessary
  • A good understanding of social research
  • Good knowledge and experience in conducting qualitative research studies
  • Excellent writing proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • A native Cantonese speaker for conducting interviews and other research tasks
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, responsible, attentive to details and able to write up research work for publications

Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave and mandatory provident fund. Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to 6 months.
