We are looking for a Sommelier / Assistant Sommelier based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong!

As a Sommelier / Assistant Sommelier, we rely on you to:
Recommend, take orders and serve wines and other beverages to guests
Suggest food and beverage pairings to ensure and enhance guest satisfaction
Assist Hotel Sommelier to arrange wine dinner events, including contract, wine sales proposal and menu wine pairing
Manage updated wine lists, maintain accurate wine sales records and control stock levels for the restaurant
Maintain high standards and professional services in meeting guests' expectations to build rapport

We are looking for someone who has:
Diploma / Degree in Food & Beverage, Wine Study, Hospitality Management or other related disciplines
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in fine dining restaurants in prestige hotels or hospitality industry in similar size
Sound knowledge in different wines and spirits
Good organizational skills, coordination skills and interpersonal skills
Good command of verbal English, Cantonese and Putonghua
Well versed with both internet and computer applications
Candidates with less experience would be considered as Assistant Sommelier
