Part-time Student Research Assistant in the Department of Sociology (to commence as soon as possible for 4 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should be current undergraduate students in social sciences or education, preferably at HKU. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese is a must), and good communication skills. They should be detailed-minded, responsible, and have a strong sense of teamwork. Experience in research participant recruitment would be an advantage.

The appointee will assist in the implementation of a large-scale project on early childhood development in Hong Kong. They will assist the research team in preparing study documents, recruiting and communicating with kindergartens, and providing administrative and project support as assigned. The post offers an excellent training opportunity for students interested in obtaining experience in large-scale research projects and child development studies.

The estimated working hours will be approximately 10 – 15 hours per week, and the hourly-paid rates will follow the guidelines of the University.
