The appointee will report to the Student Wellness Manager of Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies and School of Humanities and Social Science to promote student well-being and provide support in developing and implementing comprehensive wellness programs for students.

Responsibilities:
A. Program Development and Implementation:

• Collaborate with the team to identify wellness gaps and develop creative initiatives.
• Assist in designing and implementing activities tailored to the specific needs of students.

B. Faculty and Staff Engagement:

• Work collaboratively with faculty and staff across programs to empower and mobilize them in addressing students' personal needs.
• Help foster a culture of care, inclusiveness, and support to enhance student life beyond academic concerns.
• Assist in guiding and training for faculty and staff on topics related to student well-being.
• Collaborate with academic departments, non-academic offices, and external organizations to enhance student well-being.

C. Crisis Intervention and Support:

• Provide emotional support and stabilization for students, faculty/staff whenever these are needed
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement crisis intervention protocols and procedures.
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate resources and services for individuals in need.

D. Data Management and Evaluation:

• Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to student wellness programs and services.
• Maintain accurate records and generate related reports
• Contribute to the evaluation and assessment of programs, making recommendations for improvement.

E. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, education, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in youth development, counseling, or wellness programs is desirable. Appointee with less experience may be considered the position of Student Wellness Officer.
• Knowledge of counseling skills, therapeutic treatment, and group work principles preferable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and embrace inclusivity.
• Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English is required.
• Proficiency in using productivity tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office).

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
