Assistant Vice President, Post Trade – Platform & Infrastructure

Job Summary:
The successful incumbent will work in the Platform & Infrastructure Team under Operations Division, supporting various projects and initiatives for the cash market.
Job Duties:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive and lead the projects/ initiatives on enhancement of the clearing infrastructure particularly in cash equities market
  • Contribute to HKEX business driven/ strategic initiatives and ensure smooth operational implementation
  • Responsible for project planning and execution, including budgeting, defining roles and responsibilities, holding accountability across divisions, tracking project timeline and obtaining appropriate level of approvals
  • Manage lobbying with and feedback collection from internal and external stakeholders, including other business departments, IT, market participants, industry bodies and regulators
  • Ensure all project related tasks are well planned, tracked and delivered
  • Provide regular updates of the project deliverables and implementation results, prepare for management reporting and respond to issues and escalations
  • Keep abreast of the latest international trends and market landscape
Job Requirements:
  • University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration / Economics or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of cash equities market in Hong Kong or overseas market
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant working experience in well-established financial organization on back/ middle office or project management role
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Process improvement / business analytics experience
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
