The Academic Registry is one of the crucial administrative functions providing best-practice academic and student related administration in support of the University’s mission in teaching, research and social-economic development of Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Assistant Academic Registrar (Academic Quality Advancement), the Manager (Academic Quality Advancement) is a key position in the University’s Academic Registry. The post holder needs to be an experienced higher education administrator with a track-record of successfully managing and delivering efficient and fit-for-purpose administrative services. S/he should be a highly motivated and experienced individual who will contribute to the on-going development of high-quality academic standards and the adoption of best practices in delivering the quality assurance and enhancement endeavours of the University.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(Duration: 2 years, renewable on mutual agreement)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the development and implementation of academic quality related initiatives and projects in delivering the University’s QA and QE endeavours.
- Conduct and analyse regular evaluations of academic offerings, including student surveys and assessments, to derive evidence-based recommendations from the data-driven findings for the ongoing improvement in our teaching and learning quality.
- Utilize data analytics and statistical methods, as well as findings from regular review and benchmarking exercise to reflect best practices and emerging trends and standards in higher education, to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on academic performance and quality metrics for relevant stakeholder, including students, faculty and senior management.
- Collaborate with academic departments, supporting units and office to develop and implement strategies for academic improvement and innovation, and to promote best practices in academic advancement.
- Initiate and develop engagement plans with students and faculty to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the University community.
- Applicants should possess at least a bachelor’s degree with substantial number of years of relevant work experience in the tertiary education sector, with a focus on quality assurance, student survey evaluation and assessment, and academic advancement will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics and statistical analysis, with the knowledge and skills for adopting AI-powered tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, in both written and spoken English and Chinese, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Outstanding project management and time management skills, with the capability to implement and oversee the work of several projects under tight timelines.
- Demonstrated higher-order thinking skills for critical thinking, problem-solving and strategic planning.
