Project description

We are engaged by a leading financial institution to support their capital markets operations with cutting-edge technology solutions. Our goal is to enhance their front-office processes and trading systems by building a strong offshore team that will work closely with their in-house experts.

We are seeking a Front Office Business Analyst with over 4 years of strong capital markets experience. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing business requirements, optimizing trading workflows, and ensuring the successful implementation of front-office solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to critical capital markets initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with traders, quants, and other front office stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.

Analyze and optimize trading workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Support the implementation of front office systems, including trade capture, order management, and risk management platforms.

Facilitate the integration of new trading products and strategies into existing systems.

Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions to enhance front office operations.

Work closely with technology teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of implemented solutions.

Provide ongoing support and training to front office users, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems and processes.

Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the capital markets industry.

Skills

Must have

4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the capital markets industry, with a strong focus on front office functions.

Either FRM Level 2 or CFA Level 3 certification is mandatory for this role

Deep understanding of trading workflows, including trade capture, order management, and risk management.

Experience working with various asset classes, such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements.

Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.

Familiarity with front office systems and platforms, such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Murex, Calypso, or similar.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with traders and other front office stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

Experience with trading platforms such as Murex, Calypso, or any other trading system.

Experience with regulatory reporting requirements and compliance in the capital markets industry.

Knowledge of quantitative finance and experience working with quants and traders.

Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Python, R, or Tableau.

Experience with Agile project management methodologies.

Relevant certifications in capital markets, such as CFA or similar.

Understanding of emerging technologies in capital markets, such as blockchain, AI, and machine learning.
