Currently we are looking for a Career Counsellor to join our team in Malad (W), Mumbai. Below is the Job Synopsis for the same.
Job Role
An Inventory Associate is a professional who is responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing and storing inventory according to purchase orders and store policy. They should ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention.
Responsibilities
- Processing, packaging and shipping orders accurately.
- Organising stocks and maintaining inventory.
- Inspecting products for defects and damages.
- Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
- Organise warehouse space.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimise warehousing procedures.
- Keep warehouse clean and organised daily.
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
- Will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing inventory, as well as keeping track of inventory levels and identifying when it is time to restock.
- Distributing inventory to the appropriate departments or locations as needed.
- Identifying when it is time to restock and placing orders with suppliers.
- Conducting periodic physical counts of inventory to ensure the accuracy of records.
- Resolving issues with incorrect or missing orders.
- Managing vendors.
- Identify and assess potential suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers.
- Maintain and foster positive relationships with suppliers.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Create and manage purchase orders for goods and services.
- Ensure accuracy in purchase orders, including quantities, prices, and delivery schedules.
- Cost Negotiation:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
- Continuously seek cost-saving opportunities and competitive pricing.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of all procurement transactions and agreements.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and expenses.
- Legally documenting agreed terms with vendors.
- Is able keep accurate records & data related to purchase and sales.
- Is able to deliver the inventory within the set timelines.
- Is able to get the most competitive price for the purchases. - To identify this need to get at least 5 quote for each purchase made.
- Has ability to negotiate terms and agreement with Suppliers / Vendors.
- Is able to keep accurate records of inventory & stock levels.
- Is able to Procure materials on timely manner as per the department / organisation requirements.
