Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Talend Developer to oversee data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipeline development. The successful candidate will design and implement complex data workflows using Talend Data Integration and related technologies, while leading a team of developers. This role will require strong expertise in Talend, advanced ETL development skills, and the ability to manage projects and mentor junior developers.

• 
  Lead ETL Development:
  
  
  • Design, develop, and deploy complex ETL solutions using Talend Data Integration.
    
  • Create data mappings, workflows, and transformations to support data migration and reporting.
    
  • Oversee the integration of diverse data sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and performance.
• 
  Project Leadership & Collaboration:
  
  
  • Lead a team of Talend developers, guiding them through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
    
  • Ensure timely delivery of ETL solutions, managing project timelines and task prioritization.

  Optimization & Maintenance:
  
  
  • Monitor ETL processes for performance, troubleshooting and resolving issues proactively.
    
  • Optimize Talend jobs for scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
    
  • Maintain and support existing ETL pipelines and data infrastructure.
• 
  Mentoring & Best Practices:
  
  
  • Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
    
  • Establish best practices for Talend development, including version control, error handling, and logging.
    
  • Stay current with industry trends and new features in Talend, recommending improvements where applicable.
    

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
  • 7+ years of experience in ETL development, with at least 3+ years specifically using Talend Data Integration.
    
  • Proficiency in Talend Studio, Talend Cloud, and Talend Big Data solutions.
    
  • Strong SQL and database skills (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, My SQL, Postgre SQL).
    
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data lakes.
    
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schema design.
    
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.

  • Experience leading teams, mentoring developers, and managing project deliverables.
    
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
