• Design and develop metal components and hardware for Smartbox lockers using Solidworks.
  
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
  

• Create prototypes of designed components and conduct tests for functionality, strength, and durability.
  
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth transition from design to production.

• Select appropriate metal materials considering factors like strength, weight, and corrosion resistance.
  
• Perform stress analysis and other computational simulations to validate designs
  

• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including detailed drawings and specifications.
  
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate hardware design with overall product functionality.
  
Provide technical input during product development meetings and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with metal materials.
  
• Proficiency in Solidworks.
  
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to metal, including machining, welding, and forming.
  
• Knowledge of material properties and design for manufacturability.
