POSITION SUMMARY:

We are searching for a Assistant manager - Quality who possesses the Quality assurance functions, Laboratory / Incoming quality management/ Material testing to operate effectively in a matrix environment and have confidence in driving aggressive growth plans. The person should have a consultative and collaborative style, proven track record / achievement. THE ROLE

This role is responsible for executing with customers to establish and uphold quality standards, resolving quality complaints, and driving improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with test schedules and customer requirements, strategies and actions plans to achieve the requirement as per customer together with Regional functional leaders (i.e. Innovation, Operations, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain) to achieve overall organization's objectives. In addition, this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal and External stakeholders.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage with customers to establish and uphold quality standards, resolving quality complaints, and driving improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with test schedules and customer requirements, activities to support efforts to achieve the requirement as per the customer. The role shall carry out tactical activities as per global standards.

The assigned territories include Fluid Power businesses in India. The specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

Maximum 3 pointers per accountability

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

Working with peer groups in root cause analysis and instituting corrective and preventive action
Participate in team to review & update PFMEA's and Control Plans.
The position would also be responsible for handling the customer complaints / warranty claims.

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

The position would also be responsible for analyzing the Interplant quality issue and implementation and correcting actions accordingly.
Ensure compliance to test schedules as per India Lab Program and working jointly with Technical and Manufacturing for improvements on Lab findings.
Supporting ISO 9001 activity in the functional area.

Accountability #3: People

To interact and agree on customer / Gates quality standards, coordinate with customers to resolve the quality complaints and for other improvement drives.
This position would also be responsible for the customer line / field issue.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent reports Deputy Manager - Quality & operate in individual contributor capacity.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

This person must have at least 5 years hands on experience in Quality assurance functions, Laboratory/Incoming quality management/ Material testing . in the assigned countries or region.

Minimum 5 years, proven track record in Quality assurance functions, Laboratory/Incoming quality management/ Material testing .
Diploma / BTech in Engineering.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Good analytical and technical judgement skills, Laboratory Management, Awareness of national and international standards.
Raw material testing, Application, and knowledge of statistics in laboratory.
Problem solving method.
MIS preparation, Calibration, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP.
Knowledge of Quality System requirements ISO 9001

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
