Senior UX Designer - XR

About the Job

As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will be working as part of a cross-functional design team consisting of UX and UI Designers, 3D Artists, and Technical Artists to imagine, articulate, craft, document and deliver usable and interactive designs for our Mixed Reality Ecosystem. You will be working on creating Mixed Reality Interfaces and experiences as well as mobile and web applications for Jio Glass. Your work at Tesseract will be key in shaping the user journey for millions of Mixed Reality users globally in the coming years. A portfolio of professional design projects and case-studies including work with web/mobile/AR/VR applications is a must-have requirement while applying for this job.

What You’ll Be Doing

Create world-class, user-centred designs through consideration of market research, business requirements, customer feedback, domain/industry workflow patterns, and usability study findings.
Design and chart out the end-to-end customer journeys, the friction points in the flows, and how your proposed design may impact users.
Plan and conduct user research and usability tests for applications and features on Jio Glass.
Collaborate with UI Designers, UX Designers, Product Owners, and the Engineering team to plan and facilitate the design and delivery pipelines effectively.
Effectively communicate user flows and interactions to Product Owners, UI Designers, Technical Artists, Developers and Stakeholders.
Plan and facilitate Design Sprints and Design Thinking sessions.
Simplify complex problems and drive clarity by articulating designs using the right tools in the form of information architectures, user flows, low- and mid-fidelity wireframes and prototypes, etc.
Collaborate with technical artists and developers to create prototypes that could be tested to validate design decisions.
Follow up on the performance of existing features based on usability test data and plan for cyclic iterations and design improvements.
Confidently communicate and defend your design decisions in reviews with your team members and leadership.
Conduct UX Audits.

What We Need To See

Experience in designing digital consumer experiences
Proficient in design software and tools such as Figma and Adobe XD
A clear understanding of UX design principles and usability heuristics and be able to apply them in your design process
Excellent written and communication skills
Excellent listening, collaborative, and organizational skills
Experience in designing for Saa S Applications both web and mobile
Experience in designing applications and interactions for games and AR/VR applications
Knowledge of Interaction design principles, heuristics and best practices in AR and VR Applications
Experience in conducting UX Audits
Good to have
- CUA (HFI) Certification
- Basic understanding of development pipelines in Unity3D and Android Studio
- Understanding of 3D Modelling and Animation pipelines with hands-on experience in Blender, Maya or Cinema4D
- Experience in creating motion prototypes in Adobe After Effects
