We are looking for someone like that, who can help us with following key tasks:

  • Become applications SME and troubleshoot application issues, implement lasting improvements
  • Engineer out manual efforts by identifying and implementing automations and simplifying processes
  • Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
  • Build the team’s capability though continuous knowledge sharing and write technical documentation
  • Effectively communicate with business and technical partners in everyday tasks (new requirements, Incidents, requests, reports of ongoing activities, etc.)
  • Contribute to application enhancements to drive better observability/telemetry and increased resiliency
Your team
You will be part of a high-performing team of experts supporting Core Platform Engineering services that enable our engineers to be productive. In particular, you will be supporting our new Internal Developer Portal (IDP) based on Backstage with the goal of improving the developer experience, and integrating with the development ecosystem at UBS. You will be part of a committed, quality driven technical team working on AKS, Postgre SQL, Unix, and more. You will have a chance to optimize the Azure cloud–based components, work on observability, improve the resilience of the product and deliver SLI and SLO tracking for an application with global use.
Your expertise
  • Experience with Dev Ops tools for Code Build & Version Control, Test and Deployment
  • Proficient in Software Delivery Lifecycle or Service Management
  • Experience with scripting / coding in one or more of the following – Python, Shell, Power Shell, Go, Java Script/Typescript
  • Good working knowledge on cloud technologies, particularly Azure and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with Unix, Kubernetes
  • Experience in monitoring and observability i.e. using App Dynamics, Grafana, Azure App Insights
  • Familiarity with Internal Developer Portals, Backstage, MKDocs is a plus
  • Expertise in Incident and Change Management will be an added advantage
  • Comfortable in working closely with other team members, engineers and across teams
  • Ability to prioritize your own workload and work with minimal supervision when required
  • Capable of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
  • University degree in Computer Science or formal sciences field is a plus
