We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in various legal matters including contract drafting, legal research, compliance, and litigation support. The Legal Associate will work closely with senior attorneys to ensure that legal processes are handled efficiently and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assist with the preparation of case files for court hearings, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Provide support in compliance with corporate governance and regulatory matters.
• Work with external counsel on complex litigation, mergers, acquisitions, and other legal matters.
• Manage and maintain accurate legal files and documentation.
• Assist in the development of legal strategies and policies.
• Ensure legal advice provided is aligned with business objectives and compliant with legal standards.
• Stay updated on legal developments, precedents, and regulatory changes relevant to the industry.
• Liaise with various departments to support them in resolving legal issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws, from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in areas like corporate law, commercial law, or litigation.
• Able to communicate in English
• Strong understanding of legal concepts, contract law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in legal software and tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in specific practice areas such as intellectual property, real estate, labor law, or international law.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with corporate compliance programs and governance issues.
