Role Description
These are full-time roles located in Waterford but will also require travel to various project locations around the country as required.
Vacancies for both PAYE and Subcontractors.
Reporting to the Director, you will be part of a team responsible for carrying out a number of tasks to assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy wood manufacturing and finishing business with various residential, commercial, and contract projects. Working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects running simultaneously, the ideal candidates will need to be motivated, capable of learning fast, taking direction and proficient in using hand and power tools.
Subcontractor vacancies also available.
Qualifications / Skills
· Experience in the wood manufacturing and / or construction industry.
· Experience in Cabinet Making and Fitting.
· Proficient in Interpreting Design Drawings, Blueprints and Technical Documents.
· Expertise using Hand and Power Tools, Machinery and Finishing Equipment.
· Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Forklift, Abrasive Wheel and First Aid Certifications are a distinct advantage, but training can be given.
· Relevant vocational or trade certifications are also a distinct advantage.
· Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining safe work environments.
· Motivation and ability to work on your own initiative.
· Strong Team Player: work and communicate as a team member to ensure all aspects of the business operate efficiently and effectively within company policy.
· Conscientious and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Commitment to producing high quality work.
· Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent work ethic and customer care.
· Strong physical stamina and ability to lift.
· Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, multi-task and flexible in approach.
· Flexible to work evenings and weekends (when required).
· Full clean driving licence.
· Must have Own Transport and Tools.
· You must speak fluent English and have the ability to take direction to ensure duties are carried out to the highest standard in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist with preparation, manufacturing, assembly, installation and fitout both in workshop and in residential, commercial and contract projects.
· Picking, dispatching, loading, unloading and removal of goods.
· Safe and knowledgeable use of hand and power tools and other machinery and equipment.
· Upkeep and organisation of workshop areas, projects, goods, tools and equipment.
· Ensuring the proper disposal of waste and debris both in workshop and on sites.
· Follow instructions to complete tasks safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
· Ability to work in a changing and challenging environment and a record of producing high quality work.
· Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
· Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
· Work collaboratively with other team members, department, trades people and site staffs to ensure smooth day to day running of the organisation.
· Undertake training as and when required.
· Perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
