Job Description: As a Carpenter at Suirside Construction, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. You will play a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim.
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Operate hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant certification or apprenticeship is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €22.24 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Waterford, County Waterford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
  • Carpentry: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
  • Carpentry Qualification or completed Apprenticeship (required)
  • Manual Handling Certificate (required)
  • Safe Pass (required)
Work authorisation:
  • Ireland (required)
