We are seeking an individual to fulfil the role of Clerk of Works on a project based in Westport, Co Mayo. This is a full-time role with full-time onsite presence required for 2 years.
Education & Experience – the proposed candidate would ideally meet the following criteria;
· a degree in Engineering or Architecture or Architectural Technology or an equivalent professional qualification, or
· a National Certificate/National Diploma in Construction Studies or Civil Engineering
· be a member of the Institute of Clerk of Works in Ireland
· Have an adequate knowledge of building construction works;
· Be capable of writing clear and concise reports, keeping works records, measuring and recording all variations from contract and reading drawings;
· Have a satisfactory knowledge of the surveying, levelling and setting out of works.
· The Clerk of Works must have at least 5 years’ experience in the building trade
· Experience in working with various stakeholders in the delivery of projects.
· Experience in working on projects involving the refurbishment and restoration of buildings
