Core Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am -3:30pm. Some flexibility may be required

Applewood Homecare established in Terenure in 2012, is a wholly owned and family-run Irish Company and an approved HSE provider of non-medical elderly home care support service. We are a progressive and expanding company and this position is to add an additional CNM to support our growing team.
Role:
The Clinical Nurse Manager oversees the service provision to ensure highest quality home care support is delivered to our clients in the community. Because this role involves all aspects of day-to-day operations it requires responsibility, accountability, excellent leadership, team-working and communication skills. As part of Clinical Governance team, they must understand, promote and participate in supporting a culture of audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and support care support teams in best practice homecare service delivery
· Develop, implement, monitor and review Care Plans for individual clients
· Ensure consistency of implementation of policies and procedures across the service to ensure high standards of care are met
· Effectively identify and deal with clinical issues as they arise and escalate these through the proper authorities.
· Promote a culture of communication, learning and information sharing
· Foster a culture of risk management and develop appropriate risk control measures to reduce identified risks.
· To ensure all field staff are appraised and to implement the NCCA as per HSE requirements.
· To deal with any initial issues or queries from Clients and Carers and ensure HR / Management is informed of any relevant issues or complaints.
· Other ADHOC Duties as agreed.
Competencies & Experience Required
· Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and nursing qualification
· Similar field role in the Irish Healthcare system with experience in risk assessment and individual care support in the home environment
· Management experience at CNM1 or above
· Flexibility and self-motivation with very strong communication and decision-making skills including the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
· Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills including ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy.
· Ability to respond to emergencies as required.
· Team-working AND ability to manage own time and work independently as required.
· Excellent attention to detail - excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Perform as a leader with the competence to take responsibility and accountability.
· Understanding of Clinical Governance in Home Support Care Provision and experience in Audit preparation
Essential: This job requires a full clean driving licence. Clean Garda and International Police Clearance.
Desirable: A Healthcare Management qualification

Pay: €40,000.00-€65,652.95 per year
