We are expanding our Quality team and are seeking a Construction Materials Technician (Trainee) to join our team. As a Construction Materials Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials used in various building projects. You will conduct tests, inspections, and analysis on materials such as concrete, aggregates, paving and masonry blocks to ensure they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to provide accurate and timely assessments of materials used in construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Collection, sampling and testing of Aggregates, concrete cubes, paving and masonry blocks.
- Conduct field inspections at production sites to verify the quality and proper installation of materials.
- Analyse test results and inspection findings to determine compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures for construction materials.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, inspection reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times while conducting tests and inspections.
- Factory quality control.
- Full clean driving licence required to travel between production sites.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- No quality experience necessary as full training will be provided.
