Position Summary:

• We are hiring a Debug engineer to support the Debug and rework team on site

Key Responsibilities and End Results:

• Lead by example, ensuring safe work practices are always maintained in line with company policies.
• Working with GCTD to design and deliver training for the Debug/Rework team for NPIs.
• Owns Jdoc ownership for the debug/rework team to ensure VA’s and required Jdocs are available for the teams.
• Works cross-department to develop robust solutions to high-impacting test case fails.
• Owns JIRA ownership for the Debug team.
• Owns the runbooks (Sharing /Updating) once these are available.
• Owns A3s for debug/rework team improvement projects min 1 per quarter.
• Acts as a mentor and trainer to the debug team
• Capable of analyzing and interpreting test data (Test logs, Kibana/SQL) and preparing technical reports, QA’s, and training documents when required.
• Proactively manage runbook compliance for the team and close gaps when flagged.
• Will work with the shift leads and senior technicians to close out QRQC’s on time.
• Identify performance and training issues as appropriate and work with the shift Debug lead to close gaps to individual targets (SPD min 12, efficiency 70% +).
• Complete daily Debug loop disposition and work with shift lead to action these servers
• Other Adhoc duties as assigned.

Person specification:

• Computer literate with Advanced MS Office skills.
• Capable of developing training plans based on identified team gaps.
• Person-focused (willingly and able to identify and mentor others)
• Literate in Linux/and bash (shell) script
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong planning & organizational skills and diligence.
• Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Track record of meeting deadlines.
• A demonstrated “can do” work ethic with excellent critical thinking skills.

Job Specifications:

Essential criteria

• BSC/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology / Electronical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Computer Science/Data management or relevant discipline
• 1-2 years’ experience working as a Senior Debug Technician, or in a similar data center-based role is required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using methodologies like 5Why or 7step.
• Strong Linux knowledge.

Desired criteria

• Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment (data center) is highly desirable.
• Experience in process improvements / lean manufacturing activities (5s, VSM, GEMBA.) in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Capable of writing debug scripts (in consultation with GCTD)
Previous experience in data parsing app development.
