Design Assistant/Specialist

The successful candidate will provide support in the design and development of roofing and cladding systems for various construction projects. You will work closely with our Senior Designers, Project Managers, and external clients to assist in creating detailed drawings, specifications, and material selections that align with project requirements and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models of roofing systems, including components, structures, and materials, using industry-standard software.
- Support the Senior Design Team to develop innovative roofing concepts that meet client needs and project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet all structural, aesthetic, and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in roofing design to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Maintain accurate records of design iterations, revisions, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and company quality guidelines in all designs.
- Provide support in resolving design-related issues during project construction.
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, all ISO standards, QHS standards, industry standards, and regulatory requirements during the design process.
- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in 3D design, ideally within the roofing or construction industry.
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
- Good understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices related to roofing and cladding.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
