The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland
We are now seeking applications for the position of Stainless-Steel Fabricator with fitter experienceto join our engineering teambased in the Killeshandra, Co. Cavan site. Reporting to the Maintenance Co-ordinator.
Working closely with our Engineering and maintenance teams the Key responsibilities/requirements include:
· Stainless Piping and Plant Installation, mainly concentrating on the design fabrication and installation of stainless-steel process pipe work, the fabrication of stainless-steel tanks, stairs, platforms, handrails and equipment installation in the dairy industry.
· Experience in TIG welding and use of all workshop equipment.
· MIG and Arc welding desirable but not essential.
· Ability to read and interpret design drawings.
· Maintenance Fitter experience is also desirable to assist current mechanical team where needed.
· Mentor/train an apprentice in this area.
· Must work within health & safety working procedures at all times
· Undertake areas of specialism or expertise as directed by the Maintenance Co-ordinator.
Key Competencies:
Individual: The successful candidate must be pro-active and be a strong team player with good problem-solving skills. The individual will also be systematic, logical and be able to prioritise work to make effective decisions along with the ability to work under pressure.
This is an on-site role, typically a Monday – Friday work pattern but flexibility required for weekend work or out of hours work to work around plant down time. This may include shift work, callout and weekend cover where required.
Experience and Education: A Fabricator qualification required (SOLAS recognised Trades Certification or a similar standard) and relevant experience within a manufacturing operation would be an advantage.
