Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties. The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state of the art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland We are now seeking applications for the position of Environmental Manager based in Killeshandra.
Reporting to Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and leading the environmental function on the Killeshandra site.
Key responsibilities will include

• Working with site management to ensure the Environmental Management System policies are aligned with the present and future needs of the site.
• Managing the operations of a water treatment plant in line with IEL requirements.
• Supporting a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on regulatory body needs.
• Managing and developing the environmental team.
• Ensuring all environmental communications are dealt with and closed out in a timely manner.
• Leading and coordinating audits and visits by certification bodies regulatory body and external

bodies
Key Competencies: Individual:
The successful candidate will be a self starter with drive, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience of working successfully in cross functional teams to come to agreed conclusions.
An analytical methodical individual who is disciplined in developing systems and procedures with a persistence to see tasks through to conclusion. Experience & Education: A number of years’ experience working in an environmental management role.
Candidates will possess a third level qualification in in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
