An exciting opportunity has come available to join Fred. Olsen Seawind as a Financial Accountant on a 12 Month Maternity cover contract. This position will provide financial support to the Codling project team, the Chief Group Controller and the UK Finance Director. This is an important role which will have a focus on preparing and maintaining the accounting records for the project and report the results to the project team and to joint venture partner management.
Codling Wind Park is Ireland’s largest Phase 1 offshore renewable energy project. The project will have a capacity of up to 1,300 megawatts (MW) and will be able to supply over 1 million Irish homes with clean renewable energy. The project will also reduce Irish energy generation emissions and displace over 1.7 million tons of carbon. The project alone accounts for just over one quarter of Ireland’s entire 2030 target for grid connected offshore energy.
This is a unique position to be part of one of the largest energy infrastructure investments ever seen in Ireland and a tremendously exciting project to be part of. The Financial Accountant position will have a focus on the day-to-day maintenance of the company finances, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements, reporting and management of internal controls, supporting of annual budgeting & forecast processes and the preparation of statutory accounts, tax returns and coordination of the year-end external audit. We are keen to hear from individuals from a Finance background with good financial acumen. To be successful in the position you will need to have strong accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet the needs of different companies and to prioritise own workload.
This is a Full-Time 12-Month Maternity Cover role, working 35 hours per week and will be based at the current project office in Dublin (Codling Wind Park Ltd, Trintech Building, 2nd Floor, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin, D18 H5H9.)
