Financial Controller

Our client is a well renowned hospitality and tourism hot spot based in South Dublin. They are looking to add a Financial Controller to their operation. In this role, the Financial Controller will oversee and manage all financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations, payments, and reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the business by managing accounts, VAT returns, and supplier payments. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to support the company’s financial growth and compliance.

Duties:
- Prepare figures for stocktake and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile bank accounts, interest accounts, and cash accounts regularly
- Manage cheque payments, cash account, and maintain outstanding lodgements list
- Perform monthly credit card control reconciliation, matching with payments report
- Complete monthly deposit reconciliations and GSLS change account reconciliations
- Oversee VAT returns on a bi-monthly basis and ensure compliance with all regulations
- Reconcile various accounts, including business travel expenses and customer loyalty programs
- Handle supplier account reconciliations (160 suppliers), prepare monthly payment lists, and manage debtor sales and receipts analysis
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or other relevant accounting qualification
- Strong proficiency in financial reconciliation and analysis
- Experience with VAT returns, accruals, and depreciation calculations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple reconciliations and financial reports
- Own transport desirable
Pay: €65,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Dublin, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
