MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:
Departmental key tasks:
- Ensure all enquiries and requests are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
- Ensure guests requirements are carried out efficiently.
- Responsible for correct balancing of cash and credit transactions from front house system.
- Have a full knowledge of all bedrooms, their location and what they consist of.
- Allocation of arrivals for next day’s business.
- Knowledge of complete day’s business.
- Handle reservation calls where required.
- Knowledge of local amenities and local transport.
- Full knowledge of all bedroom rates and what they entail.
- Correctly balance front office system at end of shift.
- Full knowledge of all departments opening and closing times.
- Complete knowledge of telephone system and all the different extensions of the hotel.
- Full pass over at the end of every shift using reception diary to record in.
