The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Graduate Building Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and support to develop your skills in property inspections, report preparation, and client interactions. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within a professional surveying environment, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with property surveys, including inspections of residential and commercial properties. Once trained, conduct these surveys independently.
- Prepare reports on structural integrity under the guidance of senior surveyors, identifying potential defects and recommending repairs.
- Support senior team members in delivering professional advice to clients on survey findings and associated risks.
- Participate in BER (Building Energy Rating) surveys, learning to assess energy efficiency and issue energy performance certificates.
- Assist in preparing Certificates of Identity and providing Opinions of Compliance in line with planning and building regulations.
- Stay informed of industry standards and legislation, with ongoing training provided.
- Collaborate with estate agents, solicitors, architects, and other professionals involved in property transactions.
- Contribute to marketing efforts and support senior surveyors in business development activities.
- Undertake other tasks as required, while working towards independent responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Surveying (NFQ Level 8) or a related qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Willingness to work towards registration as a Building Surveyor.
- Familiarity with building regulations and construction standards.
- Basic proficiency in report preparation software and an eagerness to develop technical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for site visits.
