The Role
The Group Accounting Manager is responsible for the general ledgers of all head office companies and the preparation of the financial statements of all statutory entities across the Group. The Group Accounting Manager will also be the relationship manager with the Shared Services Team and will work closely with them to ensure accuracy of the head office companies. The role will also include involvement in adhoc projects and providing support and assistance to the wider Group Finance Team.

This position is based in Dublin, Ireland. You must be willing to come into the office at least two days/week.

Role Responsibilities

• Direct line manager for the Group Accounting team, managing 3 direct reports.
• Business partner with the Shared Services Team to ensure the head office company general ledgers are accurately reported each month end. Provide support to the Shared Services Team when required.
• Review the monthly cost centre reporting for central costs against budget/forecast and provide detailed cost centre analysis to the cost centre heads.

• Oversee the preparation and tagging of all statutory accounts across the Group ensuring they are accurately prepared in a timely manner.
• Oversee the preparation and reporting of the weekly Treasury cashflow forecasting for central entities and monthly cashflow forecasting for the FP&A team.
• Liaise with the Group tax team on transfer pricing requirements ensuring accurately reflected in the head office entities.
• Responsible for liaising with and answering payroll queries from outsource provider.

• Key contact for internal and external audit queries.
• Ensure the maintenance and improvement of internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Strengthen and develop the interaction and relationship between group finance and operational management.
• Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.

What you bring to the Role

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with 4 years PQE, preferably from a big 4 accounting practice background.
• General ledger experience is essential.
• People management experience desirable.
• Communicates openly with clarity.
• Teamwork and collaboration and the ability to build effective partnerships with all stakeholders.

• Proven record of achievement, with specific examples of process improvement achievements.
• Displays strong attention to detail and has experience working to tight deadlines.
• Excellent IT/financial systems experience. Experience with Oracle Fusion and Workiva is an advantage.
