Windward Management are looking for a Group Online & Social Media Manager to join its Sales & Marketing Team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.


The Group Digital & Social Media Manager will administer and assist in the execution the company's social media strategies. This role will be responsible for overseeing the social media, reviews and digital marketing strategies for a portfolio of 16+ hotels across the Windward Group.


Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsibilities will include developing and updating social media policies and procedures, measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of social media campaigns, identifying best practices and ensuring that they are complied with across all hotel campaigns.


The role also encompasses the management of our on-line marketing campaigns with various partners including Google, Bing, Avvio, Net Affinity, Dawson Andrews, Oracle, Hoist and Reviewpro.


We operate a hybrid-working model with a mix of office, site visits and working from home.

Role/Responsibilities

• Assist and impart a though-led social media strategy
• Develop, implement and monitor the annual Social Media and On-line marketing plans across our portfolio of hotels.
• The role entails developing and measuring key components of our strategies including (a.)Building brand awareness (b.)Attracting traffic to our sites (c.) Improving customer retention (d.) Providing customer service - internally & externally (e.) Encouraging sales
• Maintain Windward website and Linked In pages
• Ensure that the social media calendar is being implemented and that the hotel messaging is of a very high standard and consistent with brand standards.
• Managing spend and budgets
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Monitoring accounts for complaints and issues
• Develop strong relations with hotel teams, media and other booking avenues.
• Participating and supporting hotel Sales teams with hotel visits and training
• Assist in the completion of regular SWOT analysis on competitor hotels identifying market threats, pressures and opportunities, ensuring activities reflect these, and advising senior management of this market information.
• Provide feedback to the hotel and Windward team on market trends and conditions.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
• Full Irish Driving Licence
• Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms (Instagram, Linked In, Facebook etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A creative flair and ability to create engaging content
• Prior experience as a copywriter/content manager (preferred, not essential)
• Degree in Digital Marketing (preferred, not essential)
