About Us
Sullivan's Taproom is a Independent Brewery Taproom offering craft beers, cocktails, wines and top class pizza. We are popular with locals and tourists alike and partner with tour groups regularly to add insight to our Brewery which was established in 1702 right here in Kilkenny.
We also host a few really cool events here such as Kilkenny Beer Festival & Oktoberfest along with taking part in Visit Kilkenny programmes like Savour & Tradfest. Private events and functions happen on the regular as well as being popular for live sport & music.
The most exciting thing here right now is being in the process of building a brewery onsite so that customers will be able to drink directly from the source, furthering the venue as a visitor attraction.
With all of that we are looking to hire a new member to our team with the following responsibilities:

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Create and execute a complimentary menu to our brewery
• Ensure food quality and health & safety standards are met
• Collaborate with management to plan and execute events
• Monitor food stock, maintain supplies and place orders as and when required.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels within budget

Requirements

• Proven experience as a head/snr sous in a high volume venue
• Excellent leadership skills
• Excellent team spirit with a customer-focused attitude.
• Flexible to work in shifts including weekends and late evenings.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Quick decision-making skills.
• A keen eye for details.

Food Service Hours
November - Easter

• Monday - Thursday 4pm-9pm
• Friday - Sunday 12pm - 9pm

Easter - November
Monday - Sunday 12pm-9pm
Joining us in the low season will allow ample time to develop the ktichen and menu in time for the summer. Menu available to view through our website.
Starting wage of €42,000 - €50,000
