AQS is one of Ireland’s leading industrial, environmental and drainage services provider with a staff of over 70 employees. Based in Moyne near Thurles, Co. Tipperary we currently have an opening for a H&S officer working with the QEHS team within the company.
Your role can be described as follows:

• Manage as part of the health and safety team, existing QEHS Management System.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements and safety documentation for operations and ensure all safety equipment is provided and available for the job.
• Site Auditing and reporting of findings. Review and present any trending safety patterns as part of continual improvement.
• Identify and implement initiatives to enhance and develop a safety culture throughout the organisation. Coach employees and contractors on risk evaluation, reduction and safe systems of work.
• Implement audit programme and inspections and support implementation of corrective actions and effectiveness assessments.
• Maintain QEHS Management System including training programme, maintenance records as part of QEHS team.
• Ensure that an effective consultation mechanism is maintained within the company for health and safety and implement safety campaigns and communication.
• Be responsible for the Implementation of agreed objectives and safety measures including training programmes.
• Support the company’s applications to relevant tenders and competitions.
