The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and self-driven HR Business Partner to join our team and gain further HR experience.
You will be the HR Business Partner covering the Republic of Ireland employees, working in partnership with the wider HR team.
To have responsibility for the HR function on a daily basis providing a comprehensive and effective HR service to all staff and managers in Ireland.
Reporting to the HR Director, the successful candidate will provide quality Human Resources support to a small but dynamic HR team and will work with departmental colleagues and key managers in the continuous provision of the full range of HR support services within Glanua.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the HR Business Partner are outlined as follows:
Preparation of packs for new joiners to the Company, ensuring that all items on the new hire checklist are completed in a timely manner
Acting as first point of contract for all general Ireland HR queries, providing comprehensive advice and support guiding colleagues on best practice.
Taking a pro-active approach in advising people managers on statutory changes and developments in best practice.
Deliver staff and managers’ briefings on HR policies and practices as required.
Other duties as required from time to time.
Guiding management on employee relations and performance management
Offering recruitment assistance to the talent acquisition team when required
Improving, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures
Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures for the company
Creation and maintaining of employee personnel files (both hard copy and electronically).
Updating and management of the HR system including setting up new starters on the system.
Preparing HR reports when required (i.e. sick leave, headcounts, probation reviews)
Assisting with the administration of various compensation and benefits matters (Bike to Work, Pension applications, Salary certificates, Work confirmation letters etc)
Assisting with the administration and management of employee work permits
Assist the HR Department in the management of day-to-day tasks including letters, filing, photocopying, scanning
Help in new employee onboarding including coordination of onboarding and induction events.
Participate in HR projects (e.g. recruitment fair’s event).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The main knowledge, skills and experience required are outlined as follows:
The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter who takes ownership of their work and has the ability to hit the ground running while dealing with multiple priorities. To be successful you will possess:
Good knowledge of Irish employment regulations
A third level qualification in Human Resources
Previous experience in a Generalist or HRBP role in Ireland will be highly regarded.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Diplomacy and confidentiality skills essential.
Must be very well organised and ability to work with multiple priorities and towards deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise.
Good working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
Full driving licence
