IRFU Event Operations Coordinator

The IRFU are inviting applications for IRFU Event Operations Coordinator.
The successful candidate will provide support to the event operations team in the delivery of rugby matches and operations projects to the highest standards. They will support the team in the development and delivery of events and assist in the planning and execution of various operational projects. The Event Operations Coordinator will ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases. The role holder will work with all members of the team to provide assistance where required, ensuring collaboration is built and maintained.
The position is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. The role will be based at our Head Office, 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
The closing date for applications is strictly 4pm 31st October 2024.
Interviews are expected to take place on 11th November 2024.

POST TITLE: IRFU Event Operations Coordinator
ROLE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Event Operations Coordinator will provide support to the event operations team in the delivery of rugby matches and operations projects to the highest standards. They will support the team in the development and delivery of events and assist in the planning and execution of various operational projects. The successful candidate will ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases. The role holder will work with all members of the team to provide assistance where required, ensuring collaboration is built and maintained.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Operational: Event Operations Manager
Functional: Director of Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to the Operations Department in the planning and delivery of events
Provide support and assistance at various venues across the island of Ireland as assigned
Work as a match manager at various venues across the island of Ireland as assigned
Attend planning meetings, site visits as and when required
Be proactive, resourceful and undertake administrative tasks working closely with and supporting the Operations Department
Assist in the delivery of accreditations for International matches
Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
Develop and create supporting documentation for events in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
Coordinate and communicate information and disseminate it to all venues and stakeholders as appropriate
Support match managers with the logistics and admin
Providing general administrative support to the Operations Eepartment
Assist in the delivery of the accreditations for international matches
Ensure that contractors working at events submit all necessary documentation prior to an event, i.e., insurance details, safety statements and risk assessments which will be assessed by the appointed IRFU Health & Safety Consultant
Coordinate various Operations Department Projects as and when required
Adhoc facility and admin duties as and when required by the Operations Department
Supporting development of the event programmes, and assists in the planning and execution of the project plans
Budget accountability
KEY QUALITIES:
Essential
A qualification in event management or similar
A minimum of 2 years Event Management experience
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to multi task
Delivering within deadlines
Excellent IT skills including a high proficiency of MS Office packages
Good problem-solving skills and strong initiative
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Project planning and management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Must be available to work evenings and weekends
Must have a clean full driver’s licence
Desirable
An accredited World Rugby Match Commissioner
Experience working in a sporting environment
An understanding of Rugby and the rules and regulations associated with the game
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Agree and deliver performance related KPIs with Event Operations Manager.
The successful candidate must be eligible to live and work in Ireland.
The salary for this role is depending on experience.
