Junior IT Technician

Mc Donnell IT provides comprehensive IT solutions and services to clients across Meath, Cavan and Westmeath. We are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable IT support, and we’re looking for a Junior IT Technician to join our team.
Role Overview:
The Junior IT Technician will support various IT functions, assist with troubleshooting, and provide on-site service to clients. This role requires a keen interest in IT, problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line IT support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and updates for client systems.
  • Respond to client support requests, ensuring efficient and professional service.
  • Document technical issues and solutions, maintaining accurate records.
  • Travel to client locations when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of IT experience in a similar role.
  • IT qualification or relevant certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
