Manager – Industrial & Residential Cleaning

SOS Group is currently recruiting for an Industrial & Residential Cleaning Manager to join our growing team at a highly successful company. The candidate will be responsible for managing multiple residential and industrial cleaning contracts and cleaners in Dublin and the surrounding areas.
In this highly demanding role, applicants must have some previous managerial experience along with excellent cleaning knowledge and expertise. Time management and leadership skills are a must, being able to work under pressure and deliver the service our clients have come to expect from us is key to making this role successful.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that regular liaison is maintained and that standards, audits, KPI's, and management reports reflect the standard of service that matches the clients’ expectations.
  • Support business development regarding surveys, pricing, and meeting with potential clients.
  • Successfully manage and lead the teams while ensuring the growth and profitable operation of the business.
  • Health & Safety: Provide a safe working environment for our employees on client sites and to cooperate & coordinate with clients on site health and safety matters.
  • Mobilise new contracts.
  • Train, supervise and organise replacement cover where required.
  • Monitor attendance, sick leave, holiday requests, and time sheets.
  • Responsible for the supervision of cleaning service employees, including the allocation of workloads, monitoring progress and performance, determining work priorities, paying particular attention to productivity and quality control through regular site visits.
  • Control and monitor the correct use of appropriate cleaning materials on client sites.
  • Complete stock checks on equipment and materials as required.
  • Arrange/carry out the induction and ‘on-the-job’ training with cleaning operatives and ensure that all employees are trained to the required standards.
  • Assist in coordinating the disciplining and counselling of employees in conjunction with Human Resources in accordance with agreed policies. Undertake audits as required based on the SLA with the client.
About you:
  • Previous experience working within the cleaning industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office packages, in particular word and excel.
  • Fluency in the English language is required.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong sense of initiative and a “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Structured and organised.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full, clean driver’s license is essential, as this is a mobile role.
  • Visa to work in Ireland and the EU
