Job Overview:
We are currently looking for 5 skilled Mastic Application Workers to join one of our client's construction team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the application of mastic sealants for sealing joints, gaps, and seams in a variety of construction settings, including walls, floors, windows, doors, and other structural elements. This role requires precision, knowledge of construction-grade sealants, and attention to detail to ensure all applications meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Mastic Sealant Application: Apply mastic sealants to joints and seams in construction elements such as windows, doors, floors, walls, and other areas that require sealing or weatherproofing.
• Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces by removing old sealant, dirt, debris, and moisture to ensure optimal adhesion of new mastic materials.
• Sealing & Jointing: Work with a variety of mastic products to fill and seal joints, cracks, and gaps in construction components, ensuring effective weatherproofing and aesthetic finish.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Ensure that all mastic work is applied evenly, neatly, and in accordance with project specifications, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Adhere to Safety Regulations: Follow all site-specific safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other trades (e.g., carpenters, masons) to ensure that mastic work is integrated effectively into the overall construction process.
• Maintenance & Upkeep: Properly maintain mastic tools, caulking guns, and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Documentation: Maintain records of mastic materials used, surface preparation steps, and other relevant information as required by site management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Mastic Application Worker within the construction industry, particularly in applying sealants to a variety of surfaces and joints.
• Knowledge of Mastic Products: Familiarity with different types of construction-grade mastic, including acrylic, silicone, polyurethane, and hybrid sealants.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to apply mastic sealants neatly and accurately, ensuring a uniform finish and proper sealing of joints and seams.
• Surface Preparation Skills: Experience in preparing surfaces correctly for mastic application, including cleaning and priming when necessary.
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Good understanding of health and safety practices within construction, including site safety procedures and the safe use of mastic materials.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor, including standing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
• Team Player: Able to work well within a team and follow instructions from site supervisors and project managers.
• Certifications: Valid Safe Pass or equivalent construction site certification is preferred. Manual handling certification is a plus.
• Experience with Construction Drawings: Ability to understand basic construction drawings and specifications related to mastic application.
