The Role :
We are currently recruiting for a Pastry Chef to Join our Team at The Killeshin Hotel. This is a permanent position, reporting to Head Chef.

One of Six properties within the Só Hotel Group, there are significant progression and development opportunities for ambitious and driven hospitality professionals.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, using traditional and modern recipes.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion.
- Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared to the approved standard of presentation.
- Be knowledgeable of the day's business, i.e. know what reservations are booked in to the Food & Beverage outlets, be aware of outside events that will impact directly on business, etc.
- Have a strong awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices and HACCP.
- To prepare various dishes for kitchen as required for service.
- Ensure awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices.
- Work as a team member as well as using your own initiative.
- To observe all Health and Safety regulations as applicable to employees: Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
- Will be a talented Pastry Chef with a natural flair and passion for excellent food quality with excellent organizational skills
- Will have experience in pastry
- Interested in learning all aspects of been involved in the Running of a very busy Kitchen.
- Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role
- Great attention to detail and creativity
- Organizing and leadership skills
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
- Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Port Laoise, CO. Laois: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- HACCP: 1 year (preferred)
- Pastry Chef: 1 year (required)
- Ireland (required)
