Patient Administrator - Mallow

The Affidea Group is one of the most successful European healthcare diagnostics imaging companies. We have 400 staff within our Irish clinics, where the business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries center's around the country, offering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers and other organisations.

We are now seeking an experienced Patient Administrator to join our team in Affidea - Mallow. This is 24 hours per week contract (Monday to Sunday)

Duties:


    • Excellent customer facing skills
    • Ability to handle patient complaints or issues on a day-to-day basis
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability to be able to deal with different tasks
    • Responsible for providing excellence in patient service through the efficient management of patients through the clinic.
    • Greeting and Registering patients on a day-to-day basis at the reception desk
    • Providing reassurance and information to patients regarding their treatment
    • Providing emotional and physical support to patients during treatment
    • Handling and resolving patient complaints in line with company guidelines
    • Performing any local administration tasks such as billing/claims/ lodgements etc
    • Where relevant providing films/cd’s and receipts to patients
    • Updating all records in an efficient, confidential manner with excellent attention to detail.
    • It is envisaged that the Patient Administrator would be competent and flexible to work both at the reception desk and in the treatment area if required. Generally, this would mainly relate to the MRI area where radiographers may need more assistance than other modalities. The mix of location within the clinic is to be rotated equitable among the Patient Administration team in line with the best interests of the company and the patients.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent
  • Fluent in written and Oral English
  • 1 year + administration experience is essential
  • Excellent MS Office Skills
