Overview:
Personal care assistant for a female wheelchair user aged 27, enabling her to carry out tasks in her daily life
Location:

• Dublin 22 area

Requirements:

• Someone who is energetic and loves to travel.
• Flexibility is key for this role as well as a can-do attitude to life!
• Hair and beauty skills desirable but not essential.
• Previous care experience desirable but not essential (training will be provided)
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland

Job Responsibilities:
Personal care:

• Hoist transfers, showering, toileting, dressing, meal prep.

Domestic duties:

• Typical household chores; washing dishes, sweeping, laundry etc.

Social duties:

• Accompanying and assisting in social activities and sports training

Weekly Hours:

• 17 hours per week (potential for more hours in the future)
• 4pm - 8pm Wed-Friday
• 10am - 3pm Saturdays

Compensation:

• Starting rates €15.39 per hour depending on experience

Garda vetting will be required for this role. The successful candidate must be available to attend mandatory training, such as Manual People Handling, provided by the employer. On the job training will also be provided.
The successful candidate will be employed by the Irish Wheelchair Association. This post comes under the Leader Service of the IWA. This means that the person with the disability is the line manager and they direct their own service
