This research project is in collaboration with SETU and Badminton Ireland and funded by Sport Ireland. The proposed study aims to investigate the long-term developmental factors of the current top European badminton players, with a view to inform the future policies and practices of Badminton Ireland to support the development of Irish athletes. This research aims to get a quantitative and qualitative summary of performance pathways to investigate how junior athletes transition from underage competition to senior adult competition.

Essential Criteria:

A Level 8 Honours degree in a related technical/scientific discipline
Capability in the operation of analysis technologies.
Knowledge in the use of statistical analysis including software and processes to evaluate data.

Salary: First Point of the IUA Research Assistant Salary Scale €31,962
