Charles Hughes Ltd (Portwest), distributor of Portwest Outdoor clothing, workwear, safety footwear and PPE are now seeking applications for the position of Sales Administrator based in our Westport Head Office. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world, currently employing over 5,300 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 160 countries. As part of the Portwest group Charles Hughes leads in the distribution of Portwest in Ireland, supplying over 1,000 customers in Ireland and employing 100 people in Ireland


WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE

  • Customer Email and call handling in a busy office environment
  • Providing excellent customer service and seek to increase sales and customer satisfaction daily
  • Process orders and queries accurately
  • Provide customer quotes
  • Support sales team and management with administration tasks as required
  • Reporting as required
  • To provide support coordinating marketing projects as required.
  • Provide backup cover for colleagues as required
  • Carry out ad hoc work which may not be related to above but is achievable by you
  • To be flexible in terms of your work practices and hours as required
  • To show initiative to improve customer service and efficiency


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Speed and accuracy to meet expected targets
  • Organisational skills
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role desired
