Positions available immediately and subject to Garda Vetting. Training will be provided before commencing the role.
4 hours approx. daily. Approx. 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm (subject to minor change and traffic)
Employment is on a part-time basis during term-time only with a total of 4 hours per day. The hourly rate of pay is in line with Department of Education guidelines for School Bus Escorts. Escorts hourly rate of pay is €13.40 + 8% holiday pay. Payment 25th of each month.
Enable Ireland Sandymount School is located in Sandymount, Dublin 4 and requires School Bus Escorts from Tallaght area to Sandymount to accompany pupils with special needs to and from school. Applicants must be able to meet either in Tallaght area or at the school. Applications only from those already in the country and ready to start work.
Reliability, excellent time-keeping and fluency in spoken and written English are considered essential.
The Bus Escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to provide for pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting them getting on and off the bus, securing appropriate seat belts, supervision, etc.
Appointment is subject, but not limited to satisfactory references, current Garda vetting requirements and Tusla Child Safeguarding training. Garda Vetting will be required before work starts.
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (The duration of the school year for Bus Escort posts) from the date on which the successful candidate has been appointed.
Experience with children and/or children with special needs beneficial.
