Talent Acquisition Specialist

Our company is a leader in providing claims handling services, assistance services and speciality risk products. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, team driven individual to join our HR department as Talent Acquisition Specialist. As a team, and individually, we are expected to meet targets set by the Company to ensure we are providing our staff and our clients with first class service. This role will be responsible for recruitment planning, employer branding and support heavy with retention strategies. This role reports into the HR Manager.
Working hours are Mon-Fri, 35 hours per week.
What you'll do:
- Search for talent in the Irish market to fill our open roles, create and maintain talent pipeline;
- Post and manage roles on various job platforms;
- Headhunt using Linked In and other job platforms for candidates that may be suitable fits for MAWDY;
- Revamp job specs;
- Conduct regular market research both in the external market but also internally
- Work with the HR Manager and the Marketing Manager to develop a strategy for brand awareness;
- Develop a plan to enhance our use of social media as a form of advertising roles and attracting candidates to our business;
- Promote the Company’s brand as a top employer, ensuring a positive candidate experience;
- Conduct interview workshops and training with people managers and specialists who sit in on the interviews;
- Look to develop relationships with the III, collages and local universities to develop the employer brand and bring in new talent, represent at job fairs;
- Enhance the recruitment process and analyse KPI data;
- Support in the labour market needs test for work permits;
- Manage the ‘cradle to grave’ recruitment process; screening, schedule interviews with relevant interviewers; interviewing, reference checks, send onboarding documentation etc.
- Work closely with HR Manager to understand the various needs of other departments to develop a short and long term recruitment strategy, and develop processes for assessing and onboarding candidates.
- Support onboarding and offboarding of new staff;
- Prepare offer letters, welcome emails, and contracts for new staff.
- As in house recruiter be responsible for training people managers on interview skills and techniques ensuring they hire the best fit person for the role;
- Liaise closely with people managers on new hire & exit information;
- In addition; support the HR manager with a gap analysis of key roles within the business and a development plan to fill KSA gaps and building a succession plan;
- Support in creating interactive training videos for managers and employees using a creative training tool & AI
- Ensure training compliance with mandatory training where required.
What we’re looking for:
- 2 years + experience in sourcing talent; Inhouse is preferred but not a requirement;
- Working in Galway is advantageous but not a requirement;
- A creative, curious, go getter; someone who can think outside the box and propose new ways of attracting candidates in a challenging market;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and organizational skills;
- A person who strives for continuous process improvement and self improvement;
- A strong team player; though this role will involve working on your own initiative, we want someone who will be happy to work closely with us on our HR team; contribute to all aspects of the business and bring a positive attitude to work.
- Hybrid working model – 1 day a week at minimum onsite, during the first month this would be onsite 4 days.
