JOB TITLE: Transport & Distribution Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
ROLE (Overall Job Purpose):
To co-ordinate the delivery and collection of goods throughout Ireland, utilizing the company's own transport fleet and approved subcontractors. To ensure that the services delivered, meets and exceeds customer expectation, is in accordance with established service levels / procedures / SLA’s and is within revenue and cost parameters.
Ensure that all administrative requirements are complete and accurate. Contribute to the achievement of Departmental/Product and Company goals and objectives.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS

• Understanding Customer Requirements and ensuring the delivery of first-class customer service.
• Acting as the main point of contact for our clients with regard to our Transport & Distribution Services.
• Route Planning, Resource Allocation, Tasking and Liaising with own Drivers and subcontractors.
• Tracking & Tracing.
• Operating the company’s IT systems including.
• Producing documentation required by the transport operation (Deliver/Collection Notes, Loading Lists, etc.)
• Maintaining all records generated by the transport operation.
• Adherence & maintenance of the Daily/Weekly/Monthly ‘Task List’
• Timely and accurate generation of Sales Invoicing and timely processing of costs (accruals & purchase invoices).
• Compliance with all Legal, Regulatory and Company Standards.
• Adherence to the company OHAS Policy and proactively contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Provide Holiday/Absence cover when required.
• Other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
· Leaving Cert
Desirable

• Transport Management CPC
• Dangerous Goods Training

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential

• Minimum if two (2) years in a similar role with a proven track record.

Desirable

• Working knowledge of Azyra
• Dangerous Goods
• GDP

PERSONAL PROFILE
The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to develop their career within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry. They must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a high level of clerical speed and accuracy. A team player who will proactively take on tasks and responsibilities. Commitment to quality and customer service is essential.
